Monday 13/12

The very very last working week in Zimbabwe kick off. Just as the week before, I'm flooded with last minute stuff: lay-outing a recipe book, an annual report and a newsletter, creating a website and finalising a catalogue of techniques.

Lunch is spent with Monica at Vanilla Moon. There we bump into an old friend - Jennifer, who we met through CouchSurfer Catherine last year. Jen lives in Addis Ababa (we spent a couple of days at hers last year before heading to Belgium for Christmas) but just accepted a job in Zimbabwe. Bad bad timing, since we're about to leave the country. We make plans for drinks in the evening. Back to work for a little bit. At 3pm time for our 3-weekly work out with Shaun and Vivien. We need to do this earlier than usual because the capoeira group they're part of (with Bruno) has a little performance planned during a fashion show organised by the Spanish Embassy later that night.

In the morning I placed an advert for my car on a local website. It pays of as somebody calls me for more info. We decide to meet at my place so he can see for himself tomorrow after work.

At the fashion show, the designers are local, the show is not too bad, the capoeiristas are impressive as usual (Bruno is getting very good). We're invited for the cocktail afterwards, but prefer to leave just before the end of the show to grab a pizza and some drinks with Jennifer.
