Saturday 18/12

2 nights to go in Zim - is the first thought of the morning. We hear about people coming to Zim from Europe that missed connections because Frankfurt airport was closed for some hours because of the snow... . Gosh, I don't want to land in Addis and hearing the plane can't go because Europe is being snowed under!

I get a cab for a quick errand, and get back home in time for Natalia picking us up for breakfast at 40 Cork Road (also known as my second office, a place where I spent many hours on-line, to work of course). Again, "last time" we're there. I'm slowly getting tired of those last times. Breakfast is wonderful. Natalia is a great person. We already make plans for holidays in Lebanon or wherever we end up living next!

Back home, where the capoeira crowd and attachments gathers to go to this place in the hills just north of Harare for a braai and Bruno's goodbye roda. Having a good time, with a great view, with a great bunch of people.

In the evening Bruno and I wait for the next tenants of the flat (a French girl, her Moçambican husband and their cutest-ever kid). They're spending Christmas in Moçambique and wanted to leave some stuff at our place. After they left, we can't really make up our minds about what to do. So I go to bed at 10. At about 4am, Bruno wakes up hungry and decides to make dinner (not just a middle of the night snack, no no, rice and meat and a salad). We eat with Dimitri (who came to crash at ours) while watching The Big Bang Theory - an hilarious sitcom. Then back to bed for a couple of hours.
